Health report indicates Kaine needs dental work

The Democratic nominees for U.S. president and vice president have released their health information, with the vice presidential nominee needing some dental restorative work.

Presidential nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton, former U.S. secretary of state, was examined by Lisa Bardack, MD, chair of internal medicine at CareMount Medical in Mount Kisco, NY. Dr. Bardack's letter notes that Clinton "receives routine dental care."

Notable in the health history of vice presidential nominee Sen. Timothy Kaine (D-VA) is that his only surgery has been third-molar extraction, according to Brian Monahan, MD, the attending physician for the U.S. Congress. Dr. Monahan also reported that a "left mandibular tooth had a temporary restoration and was awaiting permanent repair."

At press time, the Republican nominees had not released their medical information.
