Support services company Benevis has installed DoseSpot's e-prescription software program for its dental practice clients.
DoseSpot allows Benevis-affiliated dentists and oral surgeons to electronically order medications with ease and enhanced safety protocols.
"Benevis understands the importance of staying ahead of the health IT curve and how the latest technologies aid clinicians in their day-to-day practice, as well as enhance patient safety and quality of care," stated Tom Nance, CEO, in a press release. "A key component of certification and achieving meaningful use was finding an e-prescription solution that would work in both our clinical and software environment."
DoseSpot also offers better integration to Lexicomp, an online drug information reference and patient education resource already used by Benevis-affiliated dentists.
"Benevis-affiliated dentists now have DoseSpot, a sophisticated, dental-specific, e-Prescribing platform incorporated into their dental workflow," stated Greg Waldstreicher, president of DoseSpot, in the same release. "Dental clinicians will be able to send e-prescriptions to more than 66,000 pharmacies across the nation, confidentially review a patient's medication history, and check for drug-to-drug and drug-to-allergy interactions all at the point of care."
