Video toothbrush set to launch

Onvi will launch a video toothbrush in early 2017.

The toothbrush, called the Prophix, will let people watch a live video of their mouths as they brush to see areas where they missed. It will also be able to take pictures, track user progress to see trends in usage, and offer motivational tips, according to the company.

The toothbrush uses Bluetooth technology and Wi-Fi to connect to an iOS app. It will come with four attachments:

  • Rotating toothbrush
  • Prophy cup
  • Rubber tip
  • Mirror for hard-to-reach places

The toothbrush is scheduled to ship in the first quarter of 2017 and is available for preorder at a discounted price of $299.
