The TS150 Mill now can be used with the IOS FastScan intraoral scanner and FastDesign CAD software to fabricate a full range of dental restorations, according to the company. Through integration with the complete IOS system, 3M True Definition scanner and 3Shape Trios users will now have the option to mill same-day restorations in the office through a reliable connection.
The TS150 Mill is an open-source milling unit with an air-driven 150,000 rpm spindle. It features orbital precision milling that preserves the marginal integrity of the final restoration. It can be used to mill precision-fitting restorations from a variety of materials, including glass ceramic, resin nano ceramic, zirconia, and poly(methyl methacrylate).
Integration of the TS150 Mill with the 3M True Definition scanner and 3Shape Trios uses the open-source file format UDX (Universal Dental Exchange).
The TS150 Mill and IOS FastDesign system are available through Benco Dental.
