1st Annual Forensic Odontology Course

Modeled after the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) Forensic Odontology Course, this new two-part course will introduce the fundamentals of forensic odontology, including disaster victim identification, daily morgue operation, and training in how to evaluate the unique features of dental radiographs, through an extensive didactic as well as hands-on laboratory program. Lectures will be taught in subjects such as the autopsy process, medicolegal death investigation, and the subspecialty of forensics such as pathology, anthropology, fingerprints, DNA, and toxicology. The 2014 course covers Part 1; in 2015, Parts 1 and 2 will be offered in a five-day course.
