Delta Dental gives $680K to NJ groups

The Delta Dental of New Jersey Foundation is giving more than $680,000 to 28 New Jersey community organizations this year, the organization announced.

The groups will use the funds to provide more care for underserved people and support oral health education, according to the foundation.

Delta Dental of New Jersey established the foundation in 1986. Its mission includes promoting and assisting educational projects devoted to the enhancement of dental health, research programs designed to increase public awareness of the general benefits of good oral health, and improving dental health through the science of dentistry.

Each year, the foundation awards close to $1 million to the community in the form of grants to organizations in New Jersey and Connecticut. Three-quarters of that budget is allocated to provide access to dental care for the underserved and dental education across the state of New Jersey.
