Florida Dental Association names new president, launches rebrand

The Florida Dental Association (FDA) announced that Richard Stevenson, DDS, of Jacksonville was named as its new president at the recent Florida National Dental Convention in Orlando.

Dr. Stevenson is a representative to the Oral Health Florida Coalition and the Oral Health Improvement Plan for Disadvantaged Persons. He is a member of the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and will be inducted into the International College of Dentists in the fall of 2014.

The FDA also announced a new logo as part of its rebranding initiative to strengthen the organization and its communication and marketing efforts. The FDA's rebrand also includes a new mission statement, targeted communications strategy, and a cohesive brand identity across all of its subsidiaries, including the Florida Dental Association Foundation and FDA Services, according to the organization.
