Univ. of Louisville gets $2M for patients with HIV/AIDS

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has granted the University of Louisville School of Dentistry $2 million to provide oral healthcare to patients living with HIV/AIDS.

The funding is part of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and will support the university's Community Based Dental Partnership Program through 2018.

The partnership program is the only one in Kentucky. It provides increased access to care and education for those living with HIV/AIDS, as well as clinical training for dental care providers.
