iMedicor launches meaningful use compliance program

iMedicor has introduced Easier Than Pulling Teeth (ETPT), a program designed to help providers within the Careington dental community understand and adhere to meaningful use guidelines and qualify for up to $63,750 in federal electronic health record (EHR) incentive funding over six years.

The ETPT program includes three stages:

  1. Guiding interested and qualifying Careington practitioners through the federal EHR registration process
  2. Helping them select a certified dental EHR solution
  3. Assisting the dentists in the final meaningful use attestation phase that results in the release of the incentive funds

The program will initially be offered to Careington providers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware, and will roll out to other regions of the country throughout 2013.

According to iMedicor, those Careington practices with a minimum of 30% of their treated patients under Medicaid can qualify for incentive funds. Of the $63,750 in funding per dentist, payments are released each year, subject to meeting yearly qualifications, with an initial payment of $21,250 and five subsequent annual payments of $8,500.

Through the ETPT program, Careington and iMedicor plan to help remedy the dental community's slow-to-adopt participation in the current federally directed effort to move healthcare to an electronic-based records system, according to iMedicor.
