ADA Foundation accepting nominations for leadership program awards

The ADA Foundation is now accepting nominations for the Dr. David Whiston Leadership Program Awards, which support dentists who show the potential for leadership that will improve public oral health.

Nominees must be early-career dentists or students who have demonstrated the ability to create a vision and motivate others to achieve that vision. They also must use their leadership traits to help advance oral health to the general public and/or underserved communities.

The two winners will be awarded a prize of $5,000 to cover the costs associated with attending a leadership training program offered by the American Management Association.

Nominations are due by May 31, and more information about eligibility and submission requirements can be found on the foundation's website.

The ADA Foundation created the Dr. David Whiston Leadership Program in 2014 to honor David Whiston, DDs, former president of both the ADA (1997-1998) and the ADA Foundation Board of Directors (2010-2014).
