February 24, 2012 -- 3D Systems will supply Sun Dental Labs with the ProJet DP 3000 and ProJet MP 3000 3D CAD/CAM printers to support the company's all-digital manufacturing process.
Sun Dental Labs uses 3D Systems' 3D printers to produce fixed and removable prosthetics, according to the companies. The ProJet DP 3000 prints dental wax-ups with a smooth surface finish that can be cast or pressed using conventional dental techniques. The ProJet MP 3000 prints 3D dental stone-like models from intraoral or impression scanners.
