CDA Cares gets $50K donation

The California Dental Association (CDA) Foundation has received a $50,000 donation from the Del E. Webb Foundation in support of the CDA Cares volunteer dental program.

The program provides cleanings, fillings, extractions, and oral health education at no charge to Californians who experience barriers to care.

The Del E. Webb Foundation is specifically interested in supporting the dental lab and oral health education areas at CDA Cares events. The next CDA Cares clinic will be held April 25-26 in Solano County, followed by one in Pomona on November 21-22.

The goal of CDA Cares is to relieve pain and infection in patients, and educate the public and policymakers about the importance of good oral health and the need for an adequately funded dental safety net, including a state dental director who can develop programs to improve Californians' oral health.

The main mission of the Del E. Webb Foundation is to provide direct support to qualified organizations for qualified charitable purposes in the areas of medical services, research, and education.
