Delta Dental announces recipients of Student Leadership Awards

The Delta Dental Foundation has given Student Leadership Awards to four newly graduated dental students.

The award recognizes students for their commitment to service, leadership, and academic excellence, according to the organization. The students graduated in spring 2016 and were awarded $2,500 each.

The award recipients are listed below:

  • Benjamin Kwok, DDS, of San Francisco, graduated from Ohio State University and was selected for his leadership to make positive change in his community.
  • Catherine Bom Kim, DDS, of Beaverton, OR, graduated from Case Western Reserve University and was chosen for her academic performance. She was first in her class clinically and was selected for her ability to excel and lead.
  • Landon Gamble, DDS, of Cleveland, graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry and was chosen for his volunteerism, leadership, and public service commitment.
  • Spencer Crouch, DDS, of Traverse City, MI, graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and was selected for his academic performance, leadership, and professionalism.
  • Lauren Hawkins, DDS, of Sycamore, IL, graduated from University of Michigan and was selected for the award because of her care and advocacy for patients, leadership, and commitment to the dental profession.
