ADA Foundation accepting applications for grants, scholarships

The ADA Foundation is accepting applications for grants for nonprofit organizations to provide underserved populations with access to care and dental homes.

The application deadline for the foundation's semi-annual Grants for Access to Care grants is July 29, 2016. Grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded.

The organization is also offering three student-related scholarships and awards:

  • The Predoctoral Dental Student and Underrepresented Minority Dental Student Scholarship Program offers 54 scholarships of $2,500 each to second-year dental students.
  • The E. "Bud" Tarrson Dental School Student Community Leadership Awards provide awards of $5,000 to encourage dental student volunteer programs that serve underserved U.S. populations.
  • The Dr. Thomas J. Zwemer Award provides an award of $5,000 to recognize and encourage dental student volunteer programs that help underserved populations outside the U.S.

The application period for these scholarships will begin on September 2, 2016.
