APHA accepts dental service award nominations

The Oral Health Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA) is now accepting nominations for the 2017 John W. Knutson Distinguished Service Award in dental public health.

The award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to improve oral health in the U.S., had a distinguished career in dental public health, displayed professional leadership, and demonstrated significant accomplishments. Nominees must be present or past members of APHA and may have had public health careers at the local, state, national, or international level in dental public health practice, academia, the military, business, or industry.

To nominate a candidate for the award, send a curriculum vitae or biographical information and letter(s) of recommendation regarding the candidate to the Oral Health Section Awards Committee by June 2, 2017.
