EDA highlights benefits of going digital

The Eco-Dentistry Association (EDA) has launched its High-Time for High-Tech campaign, an educational campaign to help connect dentists with the latest and most innovative technology available in dentistry, while also helping them to run a more efficient, state-of-the-art, eco-friendly dental practice.

The campaign begins this week and continues until the ADA annual session in October, where the EDA will host a live "tweet up" and will collaborate with campaign sponsors to bring attendees special offers and hands-on experience with high-tech, green dental office products, the EDA noted.

High-Time for High-Tech is the EDA's first educational campaign focusing solely on how technology helps dental offices reduce waste and pollution and save energy, water, and money. The campaign is also designed to help dental practitioners understand how technological tools, such as digital imaging and salivary diagnostics, support them in effectively reaching the 100 million American wellness-lifestyle patients.

"There's a 1:1 correlation between the high-tech choice and the eco-friendly choice," EDA Co-Founder Ina Pockrass stated in a press release. "Our High-Time for High-Tech campaign helps dentists get the most out of the investments in technology they've made and learn more about new innovations that can make their practice even more profitable and more environmentally sound."

The campaign includes a free educational webinar on October 12 and will be open to all dental professionals interested in learning how to run a high-tech, green dental office. Registration will open in early September at www.ecodentistry.org.
