Roland DGA has launched a new 3D printer and a dental mill for dental laboratories.

The DWP-80S 3D printer was designed to automate and streamline the creation of dental prosthetic devices, including dentures, partial frameworks, and custom trays. The printer has an 80 x 80 x 80-mm work area, so multiple smaller devices can be created simultaneously. It also features Quick Denta software, which includes a preinstalled workflow.

The DWX-52DC mill includes the company's new automatic disc changer, which holds six discs, so various restorations can be produced simultaneously using different materials. The mill also features several other automated features:

  • A tool changer, which replaces tools without interruption
  • A tool control, which replaces used burs
  • Air control, which changes air volume based on the material used.
