Henry Schein will provide $500,000 in product donations to support relief efforts for victims of the earthquake in Nepal.
The company has also established the Henry Schein Cares Nepal Disaster Relief Fund through the Henry Schein Cares Foundation; contributions will be applied "directly and completely" to support the work of relief organizations, according to a press release.
Henry Schein is working with AmeriCares, Direct Relief, Heart to Heart International, International Medical Corps, and other organizations to assess the need for medical supplies in the Nepal relief efforts. The company's donations will include more than 2 million surgical masks, a million pairs of gloves, and thousands of bandages, along with thousands of toothbrushes and toothpaste in response to specific requests for these products.
