HHS offers new funding for U.S. oral healthcare

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced nearly $156 million in funding to help more than 400 health centers in the U.S. increase access to oral healthcare services.

The funding will allow these health centers to hire more than 1,500 new dentists, hygienists, aides, and technicians in 47 states and the District of Columbia, according to the department.

Nearly 800,000 new patients will be treated as a result of the funding, HHS said.
