Invivo software now integrated with i-CAT

Imaging Sciences International has announced that its i-CAT cone-beam 3D imaging system is now integrated with the latest version of Invivo 5 3D imaging software from Anatomage, thereby expanding i-CAT's applications to include implants, airway, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) analysis, orthodontics, and surgical planning.

For implants, clinicians can treatment plan in full 3D with restorative outcomes in mind. The restoration design feature allows the dentists to plan an entire treatment, from surgical placement of the implant and the abutment to the final restoration. With its expanded implant library, multiple implants can be placed in the panoramic layout, as well as in the 3D rendering. Other services, such as virtual modeling and surgical guides, also are available.

For orthodontists, the i-CAT's 3D cephalometric analysis tool option also yields traditional 2D analysis. Included in the latest version of software are TMJ visualization, study model, and simulation tools. The airway analysis tool allows for quick airway tracing and automatic calculations and measurements and color-coded constriction values of the airway volume, according to the company.

Additionally, the Anatomage AnatoModel service gives dentists the option to create virtual study models that contain crowns, roots, developing teeth, impactions, and alveolar bone.

Through this new collaboration, Invivo software support for i-CAT customers is now provided directly through Imaging Sciences' customer care department. The company also offers a variety of training programs on using the Invivo5 software with i-CAT.
