The eye shield is designed to obscure light and other distractions from the personal video screen, the company noted in a press release.

The attachment was designed because of user demand for blocking out light for certain applications. Dentists using the cinemizer OLED for patient calming can be sure patients are shielded from viewing drills and bright lights, according to Zeiss.

The materials used to make the eye shield are soft and flexible, and the total weight is 13 grams (0.45 oz). The eye shield is compatible with the cinemizer OLED and the cinemizer plus.

It is available now from all cinemizer dealers for a suggested retail price of $39.
