Forward Science launches liquid cytology test

Forward Science Technologies, manufacturer of the oral cancer screening device OralID, has released CytID, a liquid-based cytology method for sampling tissue highlighted by OralID.

CytID enhances the screening process and uses technology from Resolution Biomedical, makers of ClearPrep, a liquid-based slide preparation process for cytological samples, according to Forward Science.

CytID can also facilitate human papillomavirus (HPV) testing of suspicious samples. Collecting cytology samples with CytID is less painful for patients, simple for clinicians, and provides peace of mind to patients, according to the company. It also provides early detection of harmful conditions.
