MHS Health Wisconsin announced that Dental Health & Wellness has become its new dental benefits manager, effective January 1, 2016.
MHS Health Wisconsin is an HMO that provides coverage for Wisconsin beneficiaries in BadgerCare Plus, SSI, and Medicare Advantage. It also offers commercial health plans, branded as Ambetter from MHS Health Wisconsin, through the state's health insurance marketplace.
Dental Health & Wellness will administer dental benefits for members in Wisconsin's Medicaid program who live in Southeast Wisconsin," according to MHS Health.
"Good dental care is important to maintaining emotional well-being as well as physical health," stated Sherry Husa, president and CEO of MHS Health, in a press release. "We are committed to working with our new partner to increase access to providers and utilization of their services by our members."
Members whose current dental providers are not participating in the Dental Health & Wellness network may continue seeing their provider without disruption throughout the 90-day continuity of care period, according to MHS Health.
