Researchers put Pulpdent's Activa to the test

Pulpdent's Activa bioactive restorative is more resistant to fractures than traditional composites, according to studies conducted at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Memphis and Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

Activa is an aesthetic restorative with a bioactive resin matrix, a shock-absorbing resin component, and bioactive glass fillers. It includes a patented synthetic rubber molecule in the matrix to help absorb stress and mimic the properties of dentin. The product has a greater deflection at break than other tested composites, according to the company.

The product comes in 5-mL double-barrel automix syringes and is available in A1, A2, A3, and A3.5 shades. To learn more, contact Pulpdent via email at [email protected], or visit www.activabioactive.com.
