Kerr launches new amalgam waste website

Kerr has launched a website to provide information on the new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards on the discharge of mercury and other metals in wastewater.

The website, RecyleAmalgamWaste.com, is hosted by Dental Recycling of North America (DRNA) in partnership with Kerr. The website features information on training, documentation, and equipment, according to the company.

An eight-hour continuing education course on compliance requirements under the EPA regulations also is available at no cost on the website.

In addition, for a limited time, DRNA is offering Kerr customers a free recycling unit with the purchase of a yearlong service agreement and will also help customers with the required documentation, the companies announced.
