Face scanning app, 3D printing personalize face mask fit

By DrBicuspid.com staff writers

May 18, 2020 -- Bayshore Dental Studio has released an app that will help dentists personalize face masks.

Dentists can use the company's Bellus3D Dental Pro 3D face app to scan their face and submit the scan to the firm, which will then create a 3D-printed reusable, individually contoured plastic frame. The frame improves the peripheral seal of surgical masks, according to the firm.

Bayshore plans to make a contribution to the Dental Lifeline Network for every mask fitter sold, it said.
