The vendor has furnished the clinic with its CS 9600 cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) system, CS 3700 intraoral scanner and CS ScanFlow software, RVG 6200 sensors, and CS 2400P portable generator.
The nonprofit clinic, which opened in late summer at a 5,000-sq-ft facility, has 10 operatories. Of these, four are staffed by faculty-supervised students from the Adams School of Dentistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and six are overseen by local volunteer licensed dentists.
The clinic expects to assist 3,000 patients each year and will support veterans, the elderly, and low-income adults, according to Carestream.
