The study sought a direct, repeatable head-to-head comparison of the systems, including visible resolution and contrast, dynamic range, contrast-to-noise ratio, and images captured at a spectrum of dose settings, according to DEXIS.

DEXIS said the research showed that its Platinum sensor "excels in visible resolution and contrast" and its radiographs are more consistent and clinically usable at a wider range of exposure settings, including lower doses.
