The financial terms of the transaction, which are expected to be neutral for Schein's 2022 diluted earnings per share and to be accretive thereafter, were not disclosed. Mike Alder will continue to manage Unitas as CEO.

Based in Mesa, AZ, Unitas' sales totaled approximately $5 million in 2021. The company works with practices to assess their commercial insurance participation, set competitive fee-for-service rates, and negotiate contracted reimbursements with commercial preferred provider organization (PPO) insurance plans.
