Park Dental separates from ADPI

The PDG dental group that operates the Park Dental and Dental Specialists clinics in Minnesota is separating from its administrative services provider, American Dental Partners (ADPI). The dental group just won a $130 million lawsuit against ADPI.

Once the settlement is implemented, the Park Dental dentists will own and operate the practice and also employ all the support staff.

"That is how we prefer to operate our clinics and that is how we will run them in the future," said Dr. John Gulon, president of the Park Dental group, in a press release. "Winning the lawsuit and then reaching a settlement that allows our dentists to continue the Park Dental practices while separating from ADPI was a long journey, but well worth the effort."

"Now the doctors don't have to work with an administrative group we had significant disagreements with," said Dr. Alan Law, president of the Dental Specialist. Dr. Gulon added that these changes would being Park Dental "back to the future."
