Planmeca launches 3D printer

Planmeca has introduced the new Planmeca Creo 3D printer for dental labs and large clinics.

The printer makes dental splints, models, and surgical guides, and it will eventually also support creating temporary fillings and orthodontic models, according to the company.

The printer uses digital light processing technology to create objects from UV curable resins. Dedicated software is included.

The new printer is available to preorder. The company expects to begin deliveries in June.
