One of the perks of dentistry is that it can offer practice owners enough flexibility to achieve a great work-life balance. Unfortunately, not every dentist takes advantage of this. Be sure to create a practice schedule that maximizes production and enhances your life.

Do

Track of how you spend your personal and work time. Set a reminder on your phone to note what you're doing every 15 or 30 minutes. While this may be time-consuming, it will help reveal areas where you're wasting valuable time.

Don

Don't forget to plan time for yourself. In today's busy world, unless you schedule downtime, it won't happen. Set aside time in your schedule every day for things that rejuvenate you. Work out, go to lunch with friends, or spend time with family.
