3Shape to enable sleep apnea scans

November 1, 2017 -- 3Shape has enabled the software for its Trios intraoral scanner to allow users to send intraoral scans directly to sleep apnea device manufacturer OrthoApnea.

The scans can be used by dental practitioners to design and order OrthoApnea's personalized sleep device for patients with obstructive sleep apnea, the NOA. The all-digital process allows OrthoApnea to incorporate a patient's individual anatomic features into the design of each device.
