Do's and don'ts for business operations

August 31, 2020 -- Your entire team should understand that we have entered a new or next normal. The way that they perform their jobs has now changed. Everyone must focus on helping the practice in the recovery. Teamwork, cross-training, and focusing on the most important recovery factors will help the practice rebound faster and be well-positioned to remain stable in the future.

Do

Be flexible. Flexibility is one of the most important characteristics needed to recover successfully from the COVID-19 crisis. Rigid individuals will have a hard time adapting to the new normal and the necessity of making relatively fast changes to help the practice recover.

Don

Don't worry about your future. Many dentists are worried about their future. The good news is that most of them don't need to be. The question is not whether you will survive, but how well. The difference will come down to understanding that the margin for error is now lower and that it will not be business as usual. Practices that are resilient, agile, and willing to change will recover better, faster, and deeper.
