September 26, 2019 -- A California dentist's license has been suspended over 75 felony insurance fraud counts, according to a September 24 report by San Diego's Fox 5 News.

April Rose Ambrosio, DDS, of Mira Mesa allegedly cheated eight insurance companies out of more than $300,000 by submitting claims for procedures she did not actually perform, including more than 600 root canals, according to city's Department of Insurance and the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, the station said.

Ambrosio faces 83 years in prison if convicted of all counts, according to Fox 5.
