Designed to save space, Compact i3 has a slim design and a flexible movement range for the unit's delivery arm, according to the vendor. It can also be switched from right- to left-hand use in 10 seconds by moving the instrument console, Planmeca said.
In other Compact i3 features, the small instrument console can be positioned above the patient. In addition, the unit's swivel function can enable further fine adjustments based on user preferences, according to the vendor. Compact i3 can also be used with both two- and four-handed working techniques.
The system can be customized for individual preferences and upgraded with features such as an integrated intraoral scanner, Planmeca said. The company has also incorporated its PlanID sign-in system to provide dentists immediate access to their personal settings from any dental unit. Usage information is stored in Planmeca's Romexis software.
