The coengineered system fully integrates the NLZ E electric motor and its licensed technology, including WaveOne, according to DCI. The integrated motor features a custom interface to guide clinicians as they work, and it includes NSK's Contra-Check function to detect abnormalities caused by deterioration of the electric attachment and insufficient maintenance before use, the company said.

In addition to being integrated into all DCI Edge delivery systems, the system can also be retrofitted to DCI's existing Series 5 delivery units, according to DCI.
