With 805 out of a possible 1,000 points, DentaQuest scored the highest on the 2018 Dental Plan Satisfaction Report. The company scored well in customer service and communication areas, according to J.D. Power.
The results for 2018, after DentaQuest, showed changes from 2017, with Humana Dental (784 points) rising to second place, followed by myCigna (782 points) and UnitedHealthcare Dental (765 points). Guardian Access Dental/Premier Access (733 points) again scored the lowest.
Overall satisfaction among dental plan members increased slightly from 770 in 2017 to 775 in 2018. J.D. Power calculates customer satisfaction based on five factors: coverage, cost, communication, customer service, and reimbursement.
