Carestream Dental releases wireless, cordless intraoral scanner

July 13, 2021 -- Carestream Dental has launched a new wireless, cordless intraoral scanner called the CS 3800. The scanner is designed to work across workflows for orthodontics, prosthetics, and surgical guides.

The CS 3900 has a field-of-view measuring 16 x 14 mm and a 21-mm depth-of-field, the company said. It features CS ScanFlow 1.0.4 software, which transfers impression images to Carestream Dental's CS Model+ v5 for orthodontic treatment planning, the Implant Planning module for prosthetics, or its surgical guide tool, Swissmeda.

The new scanner can be used with Carestream Dental's work-in-progress Voyager trolley and medical-grade computer, according to the company.
