The flexibility of Dentrix Ascend allowed Smile Brands to leverage its proprietary technology and custom development to create the One Smile Ascend platform, the company said. The platform includes Dentrix Ascend as the native practice management software, which will work with Smile Brands' other developed tools.

Henry Schein said the software moves practice management to the cloud, helping to increase practice efficiency while eliminating time spent on backups, software updates, and server issues.
