The new toothbrush features a round brush head to surround each tooth with microvibrating bristles that reach below the gumline, according to the company. It also includes a bimodal smart pressure sensor to provide brushing feedback for users on the optimal pressure range to protect gums and enamel. In addition, P&G is highlighting the toothbrush's linear magnetic drive system and smart display with personalized brushing modes.

The firm said it has also incorporated artificial intelligence (AI)-based tracking technology into the iO app to enable real-time individual tracking and coaching.
