March 15, 2021 -- The FDI World Dental Federation and the Australian Dental Association announced that the World Dental Congress will take place virtually September 26-29 due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

The congress will broadcast from the International Convention Centre in Sydney with livestreamed sessions as well as prerecorded on-demand presentations with participants able to ask questions in real-time. There will be more than 200 continuing education (CE) sessions to choose from, with speakers from Africa, the U.S., Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and New Zealand.

Dental industry members will also be able to demonstrate products and answer questions at the event using the same virtual platform.
