The 7,904-sq-ft facility will hold 20 operatories while allowing students in Perimeter's dental hygiene program an opportunity to complete their training using advanced equipment and technology, according to GSU.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that dental hygiene employment is expected to grow 9% from 2021-2031, faster than the average for all occupations.
The new clinic is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2023. Services will include dental cleanings, sealants, oral exams, cancer screenings, and x-rays, the university stated.
