The importance of social media during the COVID-19 outbreak

March 19, 2020 -- In the wake of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, dental practices are facing an unprecedented challenge in terms of keeping their businesses moving forward.

While the ADA has recommended that dental practices postpone procedures except for emergencies, there are still ways to stay in touch with patients and prepare for how business will be after COVID-19 has retreated from prominence.

How can social media play a role in that? How does social media factor into current business practices when it comes to communicating with patients? What kind of images should practices be displaying on their social media pages during these historic days?
