"Many patients turn down treatment with the belief they'll get to it later on," Levin said. "Make the appointment as convenient as possible."
To make the appointment convenient, offer a time slot at the patient's favorite appointment time. You can also give them the longest possible appointment to do all of their dentistry at one time.
"That shifts their perspective from putting it off and waiting to doing it now," Levin said.
