Digital health firm Membersy announced that it plans to purchase dental benefits company the CDI Group.
The CDI Group administers custom discount dental plans on behalf of more than 3,000 dental practices across 42 states. Pending regulatory approval from the California Department of Managed Health Care, the acquisition would combine CDI's services with Membersy's subscription-based technology, marketing, and administration, which is used by more than 1,000 dental practices in 28 states.
The CDI Group was instrumental in creating the modern dental membership model, and Membersy has refined the strategy for practices at the local level, according to the companies.
