DentaQuest has received regulatory approval to purchase 80% of a company that operates more than 40 dental clinics in Oregon.
DentaQuest will purchase a majority share in Advantage Dental Plan, which has 42 clinics in Oregon and provides care to almost 400,000 patients, most of whom are Medicaid members, according to a story from the Lund Report.
An executive order from Oregon Insurance Commissioner Laura Cali sanctioned the transaction, reporting that the transaction would not hurt competition and that there are no plans to change Advantage's business plans.
A DentaQuest spokesperson confirmed the insurance commissioner's approval and noted the deal will officially close at the end of a 60-day waiting period, around October 1.
