4 dentists running for U.S. Congress

Three dentists are seeking re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives this fall and another is seeking to be elected to Congress for the first time.

Rep. Mike Simpson, DMD (R-ID), is running for re-election for his 10th term representing Idaho's 2nd District. Dr. Simpson is chair of the House subcommittee on energy and water development.

Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS (R-AZ), is running for re-election for his fourth term representing Arizona's Fourth District. Dr. Gosar is vice chair of the House subcommittee on natural resources water, power, and oceans and the Congressional Western Caucus.

Rep. Brian Babin, DDS (R-TX), is seeking his second term representing Texas' 36th District. Dr. Babin is currently chair of the House subcommittee on space.

Drew Ferguson, DMD, of West Point, GA, is running as a Republican in Georgia's 3rd District for the U.S. House of Representives. Dr. Ferguson previously served as mayor of West Point.
