Dentsply Sirona has reported lower net sales and net income for the fiscal third quarter of 2018.
For the quarter (end-September 30), the company reported net sales of $928.4 million, a decrease of 8% from $1 billion in the third quarter of 2017. The company's net income was $28 million, compared with $90.6 million in the same quarter last year.
The company also announced a plan to reduce its workforce by 6% to 8% and an organizational streamlining designed to achieve cost savings by 2021.
