Clear-aligner brand Byte has made its 3D specialty labs available to produce masks, face shields, and ventilator parts to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Byte's digital labs and partner facilities currently produce dental specialty products such as dental aligners using over 150 Juel3D printers. These printers can now also be utilized to help make custom parts such as medical face shields, respirator valves, and other supplies, according to the company. Thousands of custom ventilator parts and protective masks could be produced each day, Byte said.

The firm also recently announced that it would provide free teledentistry services to anybody who needs it via its byteCares giving arm. Byte has a network of more than 160 licensed dentists and orthodontists in the U.S. In addition, Byte Chief Dental Officer Dr. Jon Murashi is offering consultations through a series of ongoing livestreams on Instagram.
